Overnight Advocate position open:

Salem, MA

This full-time position provides services to families and individuals living in a domestic violence shelter. Position ensures the safety of the residents. Informal activities with residents are part of this position. Position also insures that rooms are ready for new families/individuals who come to the shelter. This position is responsible for tracking and ordering supplies. Hours are overnight but do not require being awake overnight. Also, some week-end hours required.
Experience working with victims of domestic violence.
Experience in crisis intervention and active listening skills.
Position also includes other responsibilities as required by supervisor.
Bilingual/bicultural candidate preferred.
