 HAWC Attorney Program
Individuals must complete an intake with an advocate before meeting with HAWC attorneys.
The Department of Justice's Office of Violence Against Women awarded HAWC funds to hire 1 full time Probate and Family Attorney and 1 full time Immigration Attorney.
The Family Attorney handles family law matters related to child support and housing, visitation, custody, legal separation or divorce.
The Immigration attorney handles immigration issues related to legal protections for victims of violence. This attorney will review cases to ascertain eligibility for legal protections such as U Visas, VAWA petitions, U-Visas and removal of conditions asylum. |
