Keynote speaker, Bianca Ortiz, stated. "I want to help others the way my mother and I were helped at HAWC." The focus of this event to honor and celebrate the strength of domestic violence survivors. Executive Director Candace Waldron stated, "HAWC is unique on the North Shore. We not only provide direct services, we work to create a society where you have the right to be treated with respect by those with whom you live regardless of your race, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, language, culture, country of origin, age, ability, income or immigration status.
