In addition to providing help for abused women, children, men, and nonbinary people, HAWC offers many valuable internships to high school and college-aged community members interested in gaining professional experience in advocacy work. At HAWC, interns learn about domestic violence and social justice while receiving real-world experience at a fast-paced nonprofit.
In addition to a 16-hour per week commitment, HAWC looks for interns who dedicate themselves to the following core values:
