Internships

In addition to providing help for abused women, children, men, and nonbinary people, HAWC offers many valuable internships to high school and college-aged community members interested in gaining professional experience in advocacy work. At HAWC, interns learn about domestic violence and social justice while receiving real-world experience at a fast-paced nonprofit.

In addition to a 16-hour per week commitment, HAWC looks for interns who dedicate themselves to the following core values:

  • Excellence: Perform quality work and collaborate with other HAWC members to advance HAWC’s mission of healing abuse and working for change.
  • Communication: Maintain open and honest communication with other HAWC members by practicing active listening and responding to criticism with promptness and professionalism.
  • Climate: Uphold a positive, curative environment by respecting and celebrating diversity, growth, hard work, and fun with the entire HAWC team.

We are currently accepting applications for the following positions.
