HAWC is thrilled that you’ve expressed an interest in volunteering!
Opportunities vary throughout the year, but we always need folks to volunteer on the hotline, or as a court advocate and/or to spend time with children at the shelter. For these direct service roles, volunteers participate in 27 hours of live, virtual training during which you gain valuable skills, engage in thoughtful reflection and discussion and explore current trends and thinking to work with DV/IPV survivors. For direct service roles, we ask for at least a year commitment.
The next round of training takes place on: Monday 11/1, Wednesday 11/3 and Thursday 11/4: 5:30 PM to 9 PM; Saturday 11/6: 10 AM to 4; Tuesday 11/9 & Wednesday 11/10: 5:30-9 PM.
